In Boston's Cultural Equity Incubator, Liyang's gallery show Mula Sa Dagat Hanggang Sa Bundok (From the Sea to the Mountains) highlights the power of art in international solidarity.
As we prepare to close the show, we welcome two frontline organizers from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC): Petna Ndaliko Katondolo, filmmaker, activist and educator; and Samuel Yagase Bayombe, Indigenous Leader and climate justice advocate.
Together with Liyang members who went on an integration trip with our community partners, we will share stories and calls to action from Indigenous, peasant and women environmental & human rights defenders. RSVP free for this evening of home-cooked food, film screenings, art gallery, and growing collective power thru dialogue. You can also RSVP to join the livestream!

Liyang Network is a local to global advocacy network for environmental and human rights defenders in the struggle for land, livelihood & self-determination. Liyang’s Western Massachusetts committee presents this gallery show featuring art compiled from Liyang members, both in the U.S. and the Philippines, highlighting the importance of international solidarity through art and storytelling. All proceeds benefit our current Education is a Right! Campaign, which calls upon Filipinos and the international community to support education for the children of environmental and human rights defenders in the Philippines, and to educate ourselves on the broader struggles they are a part of.
