GALLERY AT CEI
The CEI Gallery exhibits contemporary art that finds expression at the junction of realism and surrealism to offer new visions of being for collective liberation.
The artworks/artists/creators/storytellers/visions we engage in the space contend with pertinent questions, explorations, and dreams at the nexus of social equity and collective repair. The CEI Gallery aims to expand the art exhibitions and artworks that folx can find in the City of Boston.
Deeply concerned with the quality of our shared experiences/spaces/worlds, we offer the gallery as another liberatory landscape rooted in love, justice, and fairness. We are looking for Black, Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQIA+, disabled folx and communities, and other powerful beings targeted for oppression who want to gather, commune, and feed each other.
We are interested in a wide range of artistic ideas and in developing our capacity to support/amplify all media.
About the Space
The Gallery at CEI consists of 3 major spaces. The entrance space, a smaller co-working space, and a larger co-working space. Currently available are hanging materials for 2D artwork on the exposed brick walls as well as white walls in the conference room. Installations also possible in the no-work room and quiet bay areas.
